CITQAA EDUCATION
CITQAA provides many Educational
opportunities to its active members and the public.
- CITQAA sponsors Review Classes for QAI Certification Exams (CMSQ, CMST, CAST, CASQ) at least once a year in Charlotte.
- CITQAA sponsors official QAI classes in Charlotte as well, and CITQAA
Members can receive discounts.
- CITQAA keeps a running list of other educational opportunities, such as
seminars and conferences around the country.
- CITQAA offers speakers, presentations, and other information to
local organizations who wish to learn about Software Quality.

Software Certification Examinations have changed and are now offered at local Prometric Testing Centers. Exams can be scheduled by the candidate based on his/her schedule starting in January 2008!
It's time to step up in your career! Do you have the ambition and motivation to become certified in your field? If so, earn what Software Certifications describes as "The International Standard of Definition for Professional Status as an Information Technology Software Quality Practitioner".
The Quality Assurance Institute began offering Software Certification tests at local Prometric Testing Centers in January 2008. Exams can be scheduled by the candidate based on his/her own schedule. The Software Certifications Website http://www.softwarecertifications.org/ has been changed to accomodate this new process and you must still go to this site to apply to take an exam. Please make sure you select CITQAA as your referring chapter on your on-line certification application.
New certifications are now available: CSMQ (Certified Manager of Software Quality), CMST (Certified Manager of Software Testing), CAST (Certified Associate in Software Testing), CASQ (Certified Associate in Software Quality). Information on these new certifications is available at the Software Certifications web site at http://www.softwarecertifications.org/. The exam code for our exams is 27205. There is convenient parking and reasonable accommodations within easy walking distance of the exam site. Please contact Software Certifications directly on their web site to register for one of these exams.
To support CITQAA members who would be interested in participating in local study group(s), in preparation for the CSTE and the CSQA exams, we will be scheduling study group sessions to review the "Guide to the CSTE/CSQA Common Body of Knowledge" study guides, which will be provided to you by Software Certifications when you register for the exams, and other supplemental material that has proven to be key in taking and passing these exams.

NEW Quality Assurance Institute Certifications
QAI has added new certifications for Certified Manager of Software Quality (CMSQ), Certified Manager of Software Testing (CMST), Certified Associate in Software Testing (CAST), and Certified Associate in Software Quality (CASQ).
Highlights include:
- Recertification / Renewal frequency increased to 3 years
- Exam Application Deadline is now 60 days prior to exam
- Study Guide is purchased separately
- A separate organization has been created to manage certifications
- New certifications available - Certified Manager of Software Quality(CMSQ), Certified Manager of Software Testing(CMST), Certified Associate in Software Testing(CAST), Certified Associate in Software Quality(CASQ).
